# Links with generic or empty text

`seo/link-text` · severity **warn** · category SEO · detected by `void seo` and `void audit`

## Why it matters

Anchor text is a relevance signal for the target page and the only context screen-reader and agent users get; "click here" and icon-only links carry none.

## How to fix it

Use descriptive anchor text ("Read the pricing FAQ"). Give icon-only links an aria-label.
